SAFETOUR TRAINING
For too long, harassment & inclusion training has been designed to tell people what NOT to do, forcing a culture built on compliance instead of care. Our training program is designed to show crew members how to build a safe, inclusive working environment together. The 1.5 hour crew training and accompanying 1 hour management training explores implicit bias, harassment of all types and uses Right To Be’s bystander intervention tools to help tour members address bad behavior when it happens and support one another. These courses have been deeply customized to address the nuances of the music touring environment.

Training Course
Private In Person Tour Group Training
This instructor-led training produces the highest learning outcomes. Our private group training for up to 75 crew members is a team building experience that should include everyone on the tour: artist, band, crew, vendor employees and all managers associated with the tour. It is a 1.5 hour class facilitated by a live instructor with options for participant questions and interaction. This training includes post-training evaluation and surveys to ensure effectiveness. We suggest blocking 2 hours during tour rehearsals in a rehearsal location. Working crew should be paid for their time to attend.
Zoom Training
We are also able to facilitate a live on-camera or off-mic Zoom meeting for the course. This is an option for a tour group who is already in motion or who can more easily Zoom than be in person. This format sometimes makes it easier for more tour adjacent employees to join in (e.g. business management, legal, managers, merchandisers, etc.). It is facilitated by a live instructor with options for participant questions and interaction. This training includes post-training evaluation and surveys to ensure effectiveness.
Zoom - Anonymous
The same 1.5 hour training facilitated by a live instructor in an interactive but anonymous webinar format with participants engaging through interactive polls, not on-camera or off- mic.
Manager Training
Suggested for all managers, tour managers, tour department heads, business managers and anyone working at a management level overseeing touring personnel. This training helps managers effectively receive information from crew members and handle any situations that arise. SafeTour provides additional tools to help managers build an accountability protocol for their tour based on best practices. Facilitated by a live instructor in a webinar format.
